Tokachi Sen-nen no Mor (Tokachi Millennium Forest)
There are four gardens spread in an expansive site of the forest, including Meadow Garden reflecting the image of prairie and Earth Garden of waving turf. The forest is an enjoyable spot for seeing, tasting and playing, which is full of activities such as Segway riding, that is, a wonderful vehicle simply driven by shifting rider’s weight, and cheese making experience.

Ryugetsu Sweetpia Garden
Sweetpia Garden is a representative deserts and sweets making factory of “Obihiro and Tokachi” as a district of good sweets. You can enjoy not only shopping various sweets of Japanese and western but “Sweets World” including an inside tour, tea corner and experience-based studio for sweets making.

JR Obihiro Ekimae (Surrounding area of JR Obihiro Station)
This is a spot gathering shopping facilities around JR Obihiro Station. There are many famous sweets shops and restaurants of Buta Don (Pork rice Bowl), a local specialty, in the area, while you can enjoy delicious food of Obihiro in the Hirokoji Shotengai (shopping street) located on the downtown and at Fujimaru, the largest department store in eastern Hokkaido.
Tokachigawa Onsen (Hot Spring)
Tokachigawa Onsen is a plant-originated “moor hot spring” designated as a Hokkaido heritage. The hot spring water of amber color contains plant-originated organic materials which makes a skin calm and smooth after bathing and, for that reason, is commonly known as “Bijin-no-yu” (hot spring of beauty).

Michi-no eki “Ashoro Ginga Hall 21” (Ashoro Galaxy Hall 21)
The hall is located in the central part of Ashoro at a distance of about 5 minutes by car from the Ashoro Interchange of the Doto Express Way and exhibits reproduced a train and platform as historical remains of a railway station which was once loved by everyone. A space of food is filled with shops of specialty products, bakeries and restaurant.

Onneto (Lake)
The word Onneto means an “aged and big marsh” in Ainu language. The marsh is also called a mysterious lake because of its location in the heart of Mt. Oakan-dake and Mt. Akan-fuji of Akan National Park and its beauty of the lake surface changing into five colors depending on the climate surrounding the lake.

An old-established restraint of carefully selected seasonal ingredients. The restaurant has a wide variety of menu more than 50 dishes such as sasimi (sliced raw fish), venison dish of gibier (wild game), Ramen, Soba and the like. The venison dish is especially popular, and so, local residents of Akanko Onsen often come to the restraint.

Akanko Ainu Kotan (Ainu Village)
Akanko Ainu Kotan is the largest Ainu folk village in Hokkaido, which is equipped with a gate of carved big Blakiston’s fish owl as Kotan-koro-kamui (guardian god of the village). There are shops selling wood folk handcrafts and Ainu cuisine restaurants in the village. In the Ainu Theater “Ikoro”, you can enjoy an Ainu classic dance registered as one of UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Lake Mashuko
The lake contains less impurities and makes the water holly and peculiar deep blue as if it is dyed by indigo, which is called “Mashu blue”. Water of Mashu is not only beautiful but exactly pure-hearted one compared with human.

Fukutsukasa Shuzo is the only one sake brewery in Kushiro, which Japanese sake is elaborately brewed to make an excellent product. Local sake cakes Horoyoi (slightly drunk) puddings containing their local sake “Fukutsukasa” are very popular.
